'It's time for us to move on.'

Wednesday 27th May 2020, 9am Let's not spend any more time trawling over the pros and cons of Dominic Cumming's comings and goings. He did, he didn't, he may have done, he may not have done this, that or the other. We need now to concentrate on really important things like the failure of my gardener to trim the edges of the lawn on his last (and I should ephasise) socially distanced visit. This far outweighs any anxieties produced by the vagaries of the Dominic Cummings case. And furthermore, I note that my favourite coffee cup has a new hairline crack running from the lip to the handle. This devastating news will take some time to fully absorb but I think we should face it, deal with it, as the people of this nation have so often dealt with difficulties in the past. Individually of course, I cannot expect you all to give a tuppeny damn about my coffee cup, but this is exactly the sort of issue that has been left without attention for so long, mostly because of the media...
